Audrey Kathleen in 3D

We had a 3D ultrasound done this last week when Lynn and Eileen and Summer were in town. We think our little girl is pretty darn cute already! It just makes us want to see her now!

She stuck out her tongue!

Geochaching

Today Mitchell took us all geochaching. For those who don't already know, geochaching is like a high tech scavenger hunt. There is a website that allows you to search for caches and it gives you the GPS coordinates. If you have a GPS device you can input the coordinates and search for the cache. Our GPS lead us to a park where we had to get out of the car and just search for the cache. In this case it was a prescription pill bottle covered with camouflage duct tape. Inside the bottle there was a slip of paper with the names of the people who had found the cache and the date they found it. We added our name and the date! It was a super fun activity! We were excited that Mitchell's job is flexible enough to allow him to take off in the middle of the day! We only wished he didn't have to go back for class! I think we will be geochaching again!

Summer was so happy to have found the location!! Or probably just happy to be out of the car!

Lynn and Mitchell examining the coordinates one last time.

The group.

Searching.

Is the GPS helping, Lynn?

We found it!

A weird picture of all of us but we found the cache!

That was the spot.

Photos

I just downloaded the pictures on my camera from the last 2 weeks. Most of them are of Summer (big surprise). A picture is worth a thousand words so this should be a pretty informative post.

Mitchell went "paintballing" with some of the members of our singles ward last weekend. This is how he came home. Thank goodness the paint is washable! He had a great time! In fact, on Monday (because of the President's Day holiday) they went again and Mitchell took Eileen along. Monday they drove up to the woods somewhere so they came home a lot less painted, but still had a blast!

Summer here looking cute for the camera
.
The expression on Summer's face isn't the happiest here but she was smiling quite a bit. She found her favorite person and he found his. Summer lights up when Mitchell comes home and he thoroughly enjoys it!

She is trying so hard to crawl! Several times she has gotten up on her hands and knees but she ends up screaming in frustration because she hasn't figured out how to move yet! Very soon!

Summer has claimed this chair as her own. She can sit up in it and it has worked great as a place for her to eat too.

Sisters

This week both of my sisters flew out from California for a visit! They arrived Saturday and so far we have had a blast! Lynn brought the main attraction with her too...Summer! Yesterday Eileen's flight landed in Salt Lake at 8:45am but Lynn and Summer didn't arrive until 3:35pm. Eileen and I were excited to spend the day bumming around Salt Lake but we soon realized that we were both exhausted! We did a little grocery shopping for the week. (Which included a naughty splurge on Cadbury Mini Eggs....BEST Easter candy out there!) Then we explored the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake. By 11:30 she and I looked at each other and almost simultaneously said we were too tired to do anything else. We needed a nap! Thank goodness for conveniently located grandparents! Grandma and Grandpa Harris saved us with their amazingly comfortable twin beds in the basement! After some lunch and a 2 hour nap we were ready to head back to the airport and get Lynn and Summer. Once back in Provo we had a great breakfast for dinner of raspberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and juice. Yum. Then we all went to a comedy show at BYU called Divine Comedy. I was worried that the loud, make that blaring, music and flashing lights would scare Summer but she surprised me. Apparently my 7 month old niece is a party girl because she LOVED the show! She even laughed when they shot glow sticks into the croud with a cannon. She is a very fun baby to have around because she loves to interact and smile and laugh but she is also so content to occupy herself if no one is paying attention to her.

Our fun experiment of the week is to try out cloth diapering! Mitchell and I have decided to use cloth diapers and I have been researching for months about the pros and cons and the whole routine involved. I have accumulated basically everything we will need to do it so Lynn agreed to conduct a cloth diapering trial on Summer this week. So far it's been pretty easy! No leaks, no blow outs and no stinky pile of icky diapers. We will keep you posted. **Haha, I just thought about that last sentence. If you don't care to be kept posted about the ins and outs of a weeks worth of diaper changes, I can totally understand that. I never thought I would be one of THOSE parents who talks only of their child's sleeping, eating and pooping schedule but I am suddenly feeling impending doom on that subject!**

Today was church and Summer, of course, did great! Mitchell is smitten with her and she loves him too! Mitchell took her to Elders Quorum today and would have her on his lap all week if he had his way. After church Mitchell made a delicious Valentine's Day Dinner for all the women in his house. We had a ham, scalloped potatoes (which were beyond amazing!), rolls and asparagus. Thanks Honey! Tomorrow Mitchell and Eileen are going to go play with paint ball guns with a group from our ward. Lynn and Summer are going to visit Lynn's brothers in law and I am going to sleep in!

P.S. I'll get some pictures up here soon! I'm writing this from work at 2:00am. It's gonna be a fun week!

NCLEX

I thought about making the title of this post "The Dreaded NCLEX" but I wasn't really dreading it. More than anything I was just happy to be getting it out of the way. Yes, I was nervous. But at the same time I felt really prepared and I really didn't ever entertain the idea that I may fail. Shudder, no. So, today was the big NCLEX day and it's over! Question 74 took me FOREVER! It was a complicated calculation which always take me a long time, but I think I was also delaying the possibility that it might continue on after the 75 question minimum. Oh dear, I don't think I could have endured 265 questions! I am happy to report that I did experience the great relief of seeing the blank blue screen after question 75! I think this is a good sign because it means I either passed with flying colors or completely crashed and burned. I will hopefully find out in the next couple of days! I certainly hope that soon I will be Melanie Harris, Registered Nurse!!
