Audrey Bought a House!

Audrey made the down payment. Mitchell and I signed since she can't write yet. We are HOMEOWNERS!!!

She Talks!

In the last few weeks Audrey's vocabulary has just exploded! Now that she knows how to talk there is no going back, she never stops! If we are driving somewhere I get a constant stream of words describing EVERYTHING possible that she can see or think about. It's hilarious. 

Some of her favorite words have to do with vehicles. She can spot a bus anywhere! She knows the difference between a car and a truck and a motorcycle. She loves to point out airplanes and helicopters, she even learned what a blimp is when we saw one! 

She can count 1-2-3 and she is really starting to get the hang of counting 3 objects. She knows her colors and will shout out blue! or purple! or red! if she sees something of that color. Sometimes I really have to look hard to figure out what she is talking about. Another favorite thing to point out are balloons, I now know every car dealership in the area that displays balloons. Haha.

Last Sunday we stopped by our house after church to see the weekly progress. The doors had all been hung in the basement and Audrey went to every single door and opened it and then said "cute!"

Here is a conversation that we have multiple times a day:

Me: Audrey, what's in Mommy's belly?

Audrey: Babies

M: How many babies?

A: Two!

M: What kind of babies?

A: Boys!

I hope she's getting excited! I sure am!

Basement Progress Week 5

Hopefully this is the last group of basement progress pictures because they are supposed to be done TODAY!!! There are just a few finishing touches like door knobs, vent covers, toilet, faucet and mirror. So exciting! It has been fun for me to watch it all come together. Our current plan is to sign and close next Wednesday! Hooray! 

It looks like Audrey has claimed this little under the stairs fort as her own!  She opened the door, ran right in and said it was "cute!"

Basement Progress Week 4

The walls are painted and the doors are hung! It looks like we are just waiting on the cabinets and toilet in the bathroom, fixtures throughout and the carpet!! Wahoo!

Audrey's Idea of a Great Outfit. In case you were wondering you are looking at 6 pair of panties over the pajamas, plus a 7th pair around the knees for good measure and of course the outfit wouldn't be complete without the hat! I have a strange child.

Basement Progress Week 3

Drywall is mudded and textured awaiting paint. Baseboards are in, window sills are in, closet doors are in and the bathroom floor and shower have tile!

Biggest accomplishment: drywall! The rooms actually look like rooms! **I am kind of chuckling at my choice of the word 'accomplishment.' Do not be deceived, all of this work was left to the professionals. I did not personally accomplish any of this except the pictures.**
