Hiatus

Hello friends! We are in fact, alive! The last month has been busy to say the least but we are here in Utah now and getting settled in quite nicely. Our drive across country worked out great! At the last minute, literally, 1 hour before we pulled out of the driveway we got a call from the auto transport company that we had given up on saying that they found a carrier to ship our second car! It was such great news because we were prepared to drive both cars separately. It didn't give us much time to rearrange and reload the cars but we got it worked out and all rode together in our van from Wisconsin to Utah. I was nervous about how Audrey would do cooped up in her carseat for 3 days straight but she was angelic! We decided to drive 7 hours each day rather than try to cram it all in two 15 hour days. That was such a great decision! Audrey had a crate of toys right next to her carseat and she would reach in and pull out toys and play most of the time just fine. We also had the DVD player and heard the first 45 minutes of Finding Nemo about a million times! The weather was clear and our drive was uneventful except for a traumatic bout of toddler constipation about halfway through. It was really sad but with some dried cherries, vaseline and a bit of colace we got it managed. I love being a nurse but I do not like it when my baby is the patient.  :(

We got here to Utah and settled in our temporary corporate housing. It is a nicely furnished 2 bedroom apartment close to Mitchell's job. Mitchell didn't start work until this week so we had a full week to dedicate to the house hunt. We totally immersed ourselves in the task too but it payed off because we found our house on the 3rd day of looking and we signed the papers today!!! We will be home owners so soon!! It is lovely and we couldn't be more excited! Not only is the house amazing, the neighborhood seems awesome! Within a 5 block radius there are 4 parks and the elementary school is right down the street! Yay! I'll try to get some good pictures up soon, I can't figure out our new camera tonight. I think I have some pictures of the house on my phone though.

Mitchell started his new job on Tuesday this week and is really happy so far. Today he came home with the biggest smile and said, "Let it be known that I LOVE my job!" I guess that says it all! He will have to explain better what it is he actually does but know that whatever it is, he likes it.  :)

My mom and sister were able to come out this past week for a visit and we had so much fun! There is nothing like living close to family! We didn't actually do anything particularly exciting or memorable but spending time together is just wonderful. Audrey willingly gave out lots of kisses, as long as she applied chapstick between each kiss. Haha! Silly girl! She learns new things everyday. Her latest is to say "yes" instead of "yeah." It sounds so proper.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, I'm pregnant...with twins. Funny thing to slip my mind but with everything else going on it has definitely taken a back burner. Well, I'm growing and I feel huge for how far along I am but I can't complain at all. I haven't been sick and I try to relax or nap while Audrey naps and everything seems to be coming along just fine. I meet my new Dr on Monday. Sorry this post turned out to be so long! Lots of words and not a lot of pictures.

Wow! Your house is beautiful! Your kitchen is gorgeous; I'm so jealous of your basement (they are extremely rare out here); and if you're anything like us you will love having a 3 car garage! I am SO happy for you guys! And what a great feeling for both of you that Mitchell loves his job! Yay!
